Launch error message on MacBook Pro

Hello friends
I've HS3 & 4 running well on my desktop iMac without issues. However, I've tried to install this on my MacBook Pro laptop and cannot get it to run, reporting an error message that Java could not launch it and to check Java console for possible errors. No such errors have been found. This is extremely frustrating, as i'd like to use it on the laptop when away from home. I have HS3 and 4 on my iPad but prefer to use the laptop. Surely there must be some Mac users who have come across this issue and solved it? I'm truly desperate on this. Can't get HS3 or 4 to launch and getting Java errors despite re-installing etc.
