Hampshere is freezing..

Hello all..
Nice program! Hampshere but now I have a problem since a week. Talking to someone and then after about 10 minutes, Hampshere is freezing, no signal anymore, Also changing the server is not possible. I have tried several servers, but all give the same problem. And I have to restart Hampshere. I work with Windows 8 on a laptop. Had no problems before on this laptop with this Hampshere program Any help is welcome! Hans Stam hansstam2012@gmail.com |

I did a bit of research to figure this out, while overflows etc. are many in Win8, usually caused by incompatible drivers. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Windows-8-1-Keeps-Freezing-After-Installation-for-Some-Users-396658.shtml This is the "wisest" I could get. I suppose that the JAVA version you use may be the culprit. My advice to you is to search along that line: JAVA versions. Possibly a fresh (re)install of JAVA does the trick...! It's often the sequence in which software is loaded that makes Win8 a nuissance. PS. If you don't get an Hamsphere error message (which I once overlooked!) that your signal is out of range, requiring adjustment of the mike input and blocking you from everything except a restart !!!!! 73's John 30HS3177 ... en denk erom: in de houding voor 200 jaar Koninkrijk! |
