Dear users.

I'd like to promote one of my older projects "DxTuners.com" which turned into "GlobalTuners" a couple of years ago.

As I am the father of Javaradio.com and DxTuners.com I'd like to quickly tell you the old DxTuners story.

Here is what DxTuners looked like in early 2007: http://web.archive.org/web/20070308041804/http://www.dxtuners.com/

I invented a remotely controlled radio network in 1997 called Javaradio and it was later renamed DxTuners.com. Alltogether I ran the remotely controlled radio network for 11 years and we had about 50 different locations when it peaked in 2006.

In 2008, when I was about to close DxTuners I was approached by a young fellow Ivo Smits from Holland who were about to build his own radio network. So I agreed that he could use parts of my software to carry on with his own venture.

Ivo quickly adopted and rewrote big parts of the system now being a really smart system called GlobalTuners. The system still uses some of my old Flash clients and the fundamental old DxTuners ideas of a remotely controlled radio system.

Ivo and his team have since then constantly improved their new server platform. He is a very skilled professional and I hope to work with Ivo in the future on some joint ventures. We have long wanted to interface HamSphere in the GlobalTuners network, but we have not yet found the time to do so.

Here is a link to the system: www.GlobalTuners.com
