All I can say is :

1) Check your Devices on you Computer Soundcard for VOICE & AUDIO TABS...... Making sure the samre devices is selected for all four places VOICE /AUDIO / Recording / Playback........

2) Make sure you have thw latest JAVA file installed Version 6 Update 23 http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Maybe you need to something else if your Operating system is different than Win XP / WIN 7 ???

Maybe someone else has other suggestions !!!!!!!

Sorry, but could you tell me how to go about doing this? I'm having the exact same problem. I've scoured my system files for a likely place to start but with no luck. Thanks for any help.

Hello Jamie KD5LBN

To check your Audio Devices on your computer internal Sound card is not difficult.

Depending on your OS (example WINDOWS xp) lower right corner on the Status Bar , there is an icon that looks like a SPEAKER..........

1) Right Click mouse pointer on this Speaker.
2) Select "Adjust Audio Properties
3) Screen should appear with 5 TABS
4) Select the AUDIO TAB - Notice the two boxes -- "Sound Playback" & "Sound Recording"
5) Select the VOICE TAB - Review the two boxes -- "Voice Playback" & "Voice Recording"

Generally these 4 boxes are the same devices ...if only one choice on you system is available. Check if more devices are installed on your computer ny clicking on the down arrow to show more choices !! Sometime other software programs auto select other choices if installed .

All four of these should have the same DEVICE selected..............If they are different make adjustments............ Then hit OK ---

6) Next is to re-start HamSphere Radio and notice the text in the clusters as to devices that HAMSPHERE sees....... Normally the default devices will be seen as DEvice 0 (zero)..

Hope this Helps you out Jamie
