I am posting this in hopes that someone had the same problem and was able to correct it. This problem is happening to GM1JNC and any help would be appreciated.
1. Download the program from: 2. Run the exe file 3. The program starts to install then just vanishes from the screen. 4. Also tried saving file then running it and same thing.... nothing...???? Any help or tips would be much appreciated. Jerry - N1TKO |

Jerry,
I had the same problem when I first installed it. I forgot to click ok when the Vista Security prompt to install popped up. Second time worked just fine. Another thing to try is shutting down all back ground programs, including firewall and virus scanner, those could be blocking the install from running. Give those a try and hope they work, also try updating Java, that may also be a problem. 73 Rev. Matthew L Koscielski - 2HS517 Bertha, Minnesota, USA ITU:7 CQ:4 Grid:EN26lg |

Thank you Matt
This was a problem a friend was having. He solved the problem by downloading the program to a CD from his laptop computer, which was working fine, and then installed via the CD to his desktop.... it worked and I have no clue why!! hi hi At lease his problems are gone...... but thanks for the info. It may come in handy in the future. 73 Jerry - N1TKO |

No Problem Jerry,
Glad he got it working. Here's something else for future reference. Also another thing can be the Administrator Settings (just thought of this). Try right clicking on the install icon and select run as administrator. It may ask for a password. This is normal when two or more people have separate accounts on a computer. Or whoever has administrator privelages, has to install the program for all users. All I know is Vista's security is nice to have, but when you want to install something can be a pain. What it appears to be from the fact that he got it working by downloading it to another PC and burning it to CD, is the original was not fully downloading the file. Again this could be linked to any of the above I had previously mentioned. 73 Rev. Matthew L Koscielski - 2HS517 Bertha, Minnesota, USA ITU:7 CQ:4 Grid:EN26lg |

Good point Matt.... I didn't think of that either. I'll bet that is why he was able to install via the CD...
