I had something unusual happen. I was taking to a chap on the 11 meter band and a red display showed up on the transceiver saying unauthorized use on this band, and it wouldn't let me transmit, so I rebooted the transceiver and it didn't happen again. Anyone else experience this???

Hi Pat,

That sounds like a server hiccup. The same thing has happened to me. I don't think it's anything serious but it is a pain in the butt.

Hi fellows.

Can I ask if it was only the 11 meter band ?

If it happens again. Can you please check if any other bands were affected.

Regards
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Yes it effected my 11 meter band. I'll keep an eye out if and when it does it again and see what we get.

DL6GS, that is correct. Your Transceiver has gone into "Receive 40 meter" only mode after the activation expired. You may not change band nor transmit. You can howevere tune the band and liusten as much you want. In order to use functions such as "all bands" and "Transmit" you can get a subscription here.

Thanks for your support.

Hello Paul
Welcome to Hamsphere. I'd be happy to help you.
First, don't worry about transmitting in the wrong place because there is no wrong place. You can transmit on any frequency and on any band.
If you'd like to set up a QSO (chat) with me, please PM me or email me and I'll meet you on any frequency you'd like and explain whatever you need to know.
Talk to you soon
