Hello All:

After a 30-year hiatus from ham radio, I've gotten the itch again. Although I'm brand new to HamSphere, listening on the HS "radios" brings back a lot of memories - especially HS 4. It's amazing how realistic they sound, including noise, fade, distortion, the whole nine yards.

I made a few QSOs after finally getting things configured properly on my machines - particularly Fldigi so I can work CW with HS 4. Looking forward to a lot more going forward.

Will I break down and buy another real rig/amp/antenna someday? Maybe. (My last one was a Yaesu FT-101ZD I bought in 1979/80 - loved that radio.) But in the meantime, HamSphere certainly seems an excellent alternative. Besides - with HS I don't need to convince my wife why this big ugly antenna and equipment is somehow a good idea!

73s,

Craig
