Hi.
This is probably linked to a "write protected" hs20.cfg file. Please go into the /program files/hamsphere directory and remove the hs20.cfg file. Then restart the application, save some memories, exit and reenter. If that doesnt work, you may check if you have admin rights in your system. All settings are stored in that hs20.cfg file so you may check it if is writeable. Regards Kelly |

Hello
I just thought I would post this message in regards to this topic. I have never been able to save my settings during all the time I have been using Hamsphere. I tried many times but never had any luck. Finally!!! I have been able to do it. First, this may not work for everyone. I am using Win 7 and here's how I did it: I went into program files and deleted the hs20.cfg file. So now when I look at the Hamsphere folder in my Program Files it looks like this: Now, to have Hamsphere keep the settings you want do the following: Right click on the Hamsphere Icon on your desktop and click on "Properties" Once you do that you will see a box that looks like this: Now, click on "Compatibility" shown above the red arrow. Then you'll see a box that looks like this: Check mark the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Then, from the drop down box, select "Win XP (Service Pack 2) Then click Apply. Again, I am using Win 7 and it worked fine. Now I am able to save my favorite frequencies, Mic Level setting, Volume Level and the radio opens in the same place I had it when I turned it off. The only thing it does not do is open up on the same Band I was on when I closed it. It always opens on 40 meters. I've been trying to get this to work since December...... Little things make me happy ... hi hi I hope this helps someone else. Best 73 Jerry - N1TKO |

Geert,
If you are running on a Mac you will find the HS20.cfg file in the applications folder. Firstly try right clicking (ctrl+click) on it and select 'Get Info', at the bottom of the info panel make sure that the files in writable by everyone. If this doesn't work then delete the file and start Hamsphere again to get a clean file. Your last option is to manually edit the HS20.cfg file to add your frequencies.
