Hi John.
At the present, no. There are a set of parameters I want to save, but I am a little ambivalent if they are going to be saved in the "main database" on the server or locally. Settings like vol, mike, power and memory is saved locally. I will contemplate that for a bit. Thanks for the QSO by the way 73 Kelly 5B4AIT |

HI GUYS
I tried CW great, but saw where enter/wpm slows the speed down, I must be missing something on that, I cant seem to slow down the speed at all, any hints on this appreciated. TNX/73/HAPPY HOLIDAYS PAT/K8LEN |

Hi, Pat,
Set your speed by typing /speed nn in the Chat window, where nn is any speed between 10 and 34 WPM. Example: /speed 13 73 & Happy Holidays! Tom |

Is it possible to use another software to key the cw on Hamsphere? I love the EHO CW Keyer and use it now on the CQ100, but I haven't figured out how to set it up on Hamsphere. I surfed around the site and can't find a clue yet. Hi hi.
Any help appreciated. 73 Smitty |

Hi Smitty.
There is no "keyer"-input to "key" the carrier wave on HamSphere. I had ideas of making some sort of connection between a physical port on the PC and the "local oscillator" on the server. Unfortuantely I was hindered by timing issues. What people do is to use a tone generator and modulate the transceiver in DSB mode with low microphone input. If you go too high, it will start to splatter as the sine wave will create two sidebands on the sphere. Hence the built in CW keyboard is less prone to splatter as it generates a clean carrier wave. Being able to key the transmitter is still on my "TODO" list or rather "WishList" and I will let you know if I come up with something in regards to this. Regards Kelly 5B4AIT |

YES!!!!! Being able to use my paddles and operate CW in full or even semi-QSK, using the CW filter, would be fantastic! Merry Christmas, Kelly. As always, thanks for all your hard work. I do only CW in real radio and in Hamsphere what bothers me is that you have to write the whole sentence and press enter when youre done. Isnt anyway to send the characters in real time as you go on typing? or can you plugin a key? | |
