Frequencies to use in cw

Hi,
It is recommended to stay below 030 khz on all bands to operate cw. We can do that but not on all bands for example on 20m not below 14.201.00. What is right, what is wrong ? Thanks for your help. 73,s de HB9BXX Jean-_Luc |

Hello Jean_Luc
When.... below 030 khz is mentioned it means the LOWER 30 kcs on the BAND......... example: below 50.130, 28.430, 27.530, 21.330, 18.130, 14.230, 7.030, 3.730, 1.830....... Hoper that makes it clearer for you to understand. 73 Vic VE3JAR |

Hi Vic
I may be a little confused but from the Hamsphere band plan I can see no cw allocation available in the 6mhz band and above 10.195. Therefore the examples you give above could be misleading Personally I would have thought that the lower end of all bands could have and should have a cw allocation Kind Regards Roy G4LJK |

Hello Ray,
For your info and I am sure to assist many other enthusiastic Hamsphere CW operators, I have put together a "how to connect and use a morse key/paddle in Hamsphere" user guide on my Hamsphere blog. Please visit and provide feedback. I hope it helps and maybe we can have a CW QSO soon. 73 Bruce 43HS031 |

Ray,
The permitted CW frequencies in Hamsphere are as follows: 30M 10.101 - 10.195 40M 7.001 - 7.030 80M 3.701 - 3.730 160M 1.801 - 1.830 CW is not permitted outside of these frequency bands. If you need information on how to hook up a key/paddle/touch keyer then have a look at this page on my blog: http://43hs031.hamsphere.net/?page_id=1062 73 Bruce |

You can no longer use 40M for CW. If you consider that 30M usually has band hogging wide band data transmissions, your options for CW use are very limited. I wonder when or if the "promised CW support" will ever eventuate????? 73 Bruce 43HS031 |

Due to the increased demand for audio QSOs on the 40 meter band we have today expanded the 40 meter band to cover 7001-7099 kHz voice only. As of today, no CW on 40 meters.
CW operators, please revert to 160, 80 and 30 meters. |

Allow me to make a constructive criticism not controversy.
Many CW operators are trying to increase and improve the use of this system even in the frequency of HS . Now reduce the chance to work is not in the true spirit of development of the hobby. Many TNX to 43HS031 Bruce for ur site and blog! 73 50HS100 Luigi Moscow RU |
