dxcc country list

at moment i am on hamsphere 3 working dx from around the world my question is why some countrys dont come up as there countrys re iso such as 68HS102 this should come up as northern ireland not england?? that been another dxcc others have been stations in scotland with 26 dx call sign yet again should be 108 yet again another dxcc whats going on latest 1 which caught my eye was KA0AK/KL7 DICK in alaska yet this is confirmed as the state of alaska but not the dxcc of alaska ??? john m6wyd

I think cause IPs are not strictly limited on a local area. And HS 3 is not "real" and so far away from such awards like the american ARRL Club with his DXCC award. So it's impossible to match an exact country-border only with an IP adress. .

And some callsigns (like the long with a slash inside (/) and another prefix) could be a "guest callsign" from amateurs, who are temp. as guest in a foreign country and wants to operate from that place. That means, the foreign prefix is standing at the first position, separated by a slash.
E.G: the Alaska station would be in my country, his callsign could be "DL2/KA0AK". That means NOT, that this person is a german amateur, german licensed, born in Germany or something like that.
But in some countries it is possible to operate with such guest-callsigns withot making a new license (or exam) for this country.
