Have itend to buy a Tablet

Narrow choice is:

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5110
One of importaint criteria is also to be compatible with Hamsphere.

Does somebody already has an experience how this tablet is working with Hamsphere program.
Are there any issues?

Thank you for replies.

Milan,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, and it works just fine... nice audio.
The only problem I have yet seen is the tuner knob does not work so well.
hope this helps.

i have HS on my Samsung Dual Core Prime & my Nextbook Tablet (Also an Android) & the tuner knob is sluggish on both so I don't think the issue is device specific

A DIRECT KEYPAD ENTRY option would be MUCH better & wouldn't take as long to chance frequencies (Don't many HF rigs have this function ??). To just scan, arrow keys would probably work better than the knob does

JMO.....

Cheers & 73 :)

I aggree, the VFO knob is a little bit difficult, also on my LG mobilephone.
But I think that is a generally problem of touchscreens. It's easier to select a freq. from the cluster oder bandscope.

But I see just another problem since the first day: If you hit the "cluster" key, ist will be "locked" and a green LED is on.
To release or re-select this function, you have to press this key twice. On the first stroke nothing happens.
For example: 1. stroke will open the cluster. 2. stroke will close the cluster-screen and the green LED is on. 3. stroke will do..... nothing and the LED is going off. After pressing this key next time, you can open the cluster again.

That is the difference to the desktop-version, there you can open/close the cluster on each click.
But all in all it is a very good APP for Android. :-)

If I'm sitting at home and use the portable version of HS3, I start both systems at the same time. That means on the computer also. The reason is, I can create logbook entries in "realtime" and send QSL-cards, which is not possible on the portable device. .
The little "trick" is to select different frequencies (or bands) on both radios to avoid hearing your own voice on the other radio while transmitting.
Or just turn the volume down (on the computer side).

73 and good DX from Jörg :-)
