As a Mac user I have access to Soundflower and Linein which allow some complex sound routing functions between applications.
This can be used to route sound in and out of HamSphere from CW, RTTY, PSK etc applications. Is there something similar available for windows or linux? |

Also:
In the Mac / Linux java version, I only have the Java Sound Audi Engine listed as a playback device when I also have Soundflower and default system audio available. Is there a way to select these alternative playback devices? |

Hi Jerry,
Unfortunately that didn't help. When I use /devices I get:
but I should get: Available playback devices: 0: Built-in Output 1: Digital Output 1: Soundflower (2ch) 2: Soundflower (16ch) 3: Java Sound Audio Engine { I am running hamsphere_2.0.19_for_linux_and_mac.jar on a Mac G5/OSX10.5 and a Macbbook Pro (Intel)/OSX10.6 - both fully updated. } Andy KF6PVT/MM0BQV/Broadcaster Hamsphere Forum Moderator |

Hey Andy
I have to tell you.... What I know about Mac's is about one third of what i know about PC's and I know very little about PC's!!! hi hi I'm sure there are some folks on here using Macs. I hope they see this thread and can add some information. In the meantime, I'll ask around. Stay tuned....... 73 Jerry - N1TKO |

Andy,
The internal routing software for Windows is called Virtual Audio Cable. I could only find one application. http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.html It allows you to connect the input and output of Hamsphere to quite a few processing and decoding applications. I have used it with most of the SDR software around. It also works with skysweeper and JVcomm. Basically, any application that allows to choose input and output device. |
