hi
was just wondering is there any possible to get the call sign visual at all time when log in, because there is a lot of stations listening, as people on taking on hamsphere should be aware of people on the side even if there are invisible, it should be made that the call sign is shown, thany you tony |

Hello Tony
If a user is in the "Invisible" mode, you can't see them. That's just one of the options on the transceiver. Pressing the F12 key will let you see "Visible" on the band you are using and a second press of the F12 will show you "Visible" users on your frequency. If you think about it.... on actual Ham Radio, there could be hundreds of people listening and you wouldn't know it. Some folks like this option, others don't. 73 Jerry - N1TKO |

Hello Tony-29HS132
I like the invisible or "lurking" option. I like being able to "disappear" if I have to step away from hamsphere maybe to answer the phone, eat with the dogs and or let the wife out for a walk.hi..hi.. As in real radio, you never know who is out there. It's not that I "lurk" but if I step away and don't hear a CQ or a direct call, the calling operator may think I just don't want to pick up their call. As a learning tool or "test drive" some new operators may want to listen or surf before jumping in. If their call is listed, they may unknowingly offend others who again don't know why an operator is listed but is not picking up their call. As an instructor, I understand there are some who listen to what you say and are learning but, they are not quite ready to be asked a question. ::o Just my thoughts 73 Ray Ruby WX4PBC Prev KE4HCQ |

Hello again Guys
Yes, well put Tony. I have been thinking about this "invisible and visible" thing for a couple of days. Yesterday I had a stack of papers to fill out regarding insurance and I figured I'd do it at my desk in the shack. I also put Hamsphere on figuring I'd listen while I worked. I didn't hit the "invisible" mode and had to eventually go in the invisible mode because I kept getting calls. So, that was one example of why its good to have.... I just wanted to listen at that particular time. I'm wondering how Hamsphere would be if there was no visible or invisible mode...... just like a real radio and you have no idea who is on????? Good subject for discussion..... 73 Jerry - N1TKO |

Hi Guys, must admit I do "hit" the button to see who's listerning, I do pick on the HS calls to invite them in and have a yarn..... certainly not to "just pick them out" but I think I'd like to give them ago and join the group or atleast make them welcome or as we say "break the ice", it works 9 times out of 10. :)-D:)-D:)-D
I also sit and listern, with 3 boys/adults I think I've gone through more headsets than undies, just can't understand how they break them even a $299.00 Heil Pro headset :S:S:S, anyway getting back on the topic, I feel even thou I can't "talk" I can still be apart of this thing and listern.... hell even I still learn a thing or two.......
