Some suggestions hamsphere

I would like to make several suggestions to take it finds in later versions of the program.

Both me and to many more people we will be glad that you hamsphere program incorporating the following improvements:

1. Vox Button Control

2. Propagation system for the DX

3. (very important) Extend the probationary period for new users to 1 month minimum, as in other programs such as CQ 100 have a trial period of 3 months.

4. Incorporate visual skins for hamsphere program, so that users have the opportunity to change the visual skin of the transmitter and can customize it.

And I would also suggest that the band of 11 meters remain operational for users who are on trial version of the program.

I hope that the Administrator take account of my views and I speak FreeRadioNetwork most important system in Spain, who are doing advertising and promoting this program so that everyone can use it as an alternative to traditional radio.

A greeting 73 to all friends hamsphere. I hope to visit my website www.CB-PMR.es

Hello Francisco
Thank you for the suggestions. I know Kelly takes all the new suggestions seriously and I'm sure he will consider the ones you mentioned.
I was also in QSO with several fellows last night who asked me to post a couple of suggestions as well.
My number 1 suggestion which wouldn't be a function on the transceiver itself, but may save us all a lot of headaches and trouble in the future:

1. When subscribing, the person must leave a Valid email address and information. The email address will be verified. All licensed Amateur calls must be verified and matched to the name and email address of licensee.
As Admin here on the Forum, I personally spend several hours sometimes matching ham calls to the user. So far I have only come across 2 people I know are using a ham call that are not legitimate. Those are being brought to Kelly's attention. I am not 100% sure of the verification method used at this time and Kelly may indeed be doing this.

2. A button here on the Forum to clear out all unread marks. A "Mark All as Read" button. For some of the users, the page is full of red numbers and red flags in the posts. I read every post but a lot of folks do not and the Forum (for them) is cluttered with red marks)
3. A Hamsphere LogBook. :)

There was a gentleman on here some time back talking about developing new skins. I don't know what happened to the idea and I'm not savvy enough to do that myself!

I have two main worries and those are; Someone getting on Hamsphere with a Ham Call that does not belong to that person and a person using a bogus Ham call.
In closing, I think the verification topic is of much importance. The more we scrutinize subscribers, the less trouble we will have.

Hello, Was I one of the 2?, I had been using WB8VDV for the last few years on HamSphere until the other day when I was assigned a new callsign. before that there was a note on my "EDIT PROFILE" to update my callsign. When I clicked the submit button all I got was an error.
WB8VDV was my callsign in the 70's when I was a Novice. I understand the new rule for callsigns and totally agree.

This is my old QSL card from 1976, Around the same time the FCC got rid of the "N" for novice and I was issued: WB8VDV (now expired). I was working at a Radio Shack then and they gave out free QSL cards to their Ham workers. Back then "Radio" ment something to Radio Shack.

"73" see you all on the bands.

Hello Scott
Okay on your old callsign. The folks on here that are using improper calls aren't posted on the Forum. They are just taken out of the database.
I hope you are able to get your call back or get a new call. I know lots of guys that let their license go and regret it later.
Anyhow, we just want it to be known that we do not tolerate someone using a Ham Call that isn't assigned to them by their particular country's licensing authority. Its actually a crime to do so.
Also, the HS calls should be respected as well. The more people that respect the call sign system here on Hamsphere and use it properly, the better off we all are.

This is a terrific system and a great tool to learn about Ham Radio. If we all work together the system (Hamsphere) will keep working and we'll all get to enjoy it.

The reason you got that message was because we are checking and double checking each and every callsign.
