modems and internet connections

hi all martin here 29hs122,
just wanted to warn guys thinking of getting wireless modems or dongles as there called, to use on thier internet and especally with hamsphere,i just recently changed networks as a result of serious problems with 3g,i had serious packet loss at certain times with thier modem and their costamer care is really bad too unless you speak indian as your put through to india,ive sence reported thiem to reg com the communications reglorty board here in ireland,im now with vodaphone.ie,thier service is much better and thier costomer care team too,but i wouldent recomend thiem either,as they also experince a certian amount of packet loss and congestion at certian times,usally evening time when i want to use hamsphere,so ive made up my mind im gowing to save and get a hard wire connection into my qth,its the only soliution to these problems as your totally at the mercy of these network providers especally if you live in ireland, so take heed guys and save yourself major brain damage and money,i also want to take this oppertunity to wish my fellow hamsphere users all the verey best for the new year2010, 73 and regards to all from dublin ireland 29hs122 martin |
