Hi, I'm new to this mode and don't recognise the callsigns being used. Is this something peculiar to this program or are we not allowed to use our registered Ham Radio callsign?

Hello Ray
Welcome to Hamsphere. The callsigns you see, such as 11HS123 are issued Hamsphere call signs. The others, are just regular licensed Hams. With the HS calls the first set of numbers before the "HS" indicates where in the world people are located. You can see the Country Codes HERE. The ham calls, as you know, can be looked up on QRZ. Hamsphere users are licensed and non licensed radio operators. Enjoy the program and hope to see you on the bands. 73 Jerry - N1TKO |
