To anyone who may read this post,
First of all I would like to say hello and I look forward to future contact over the Hamsphere network. Second I am yet to make contact with people, 1) because we have 7 dogs and one of them has little big man disorder and keeps barking when I build up the courage to make my first contact, 2) I am researching the best and most professional way to communicate. Start as you mean to go on as they say. Before I begin to contact others I am creating a template of basic commands that I can reference, what I have so far is as follows; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start Random Conversation Calling any station | You are being called by (my callsign) | Location (my location) | end transmission CQ | QRZ 26HS8638 | ISO2 is GB, Grid is IO94FV | over Start Conversation With Known Operator (callsign) I heard you | You are being called by (my callsign) | for a conversation | Location (my location) | end transmission (callsign) QSN | QRZ 26HS8638 | for QSO | ISO2 is GB, Grid is IO94FV | over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Acknowledge Station (callsign) I heard you | this is 26HS8638 I am ready | for a conversation | end transmission (callsign) QSN | this is 26HS8638 QRV | for QSO | over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Repeat Last Message (callsign) Repeat last message | end transmission (callsign) QSM | over Repeat Last Message Slowly (callsign) Repeat last message, Send more slowly | end transmission (callsign) QSM, QRS | over Repeat Last Message Slowly Weak Signal (callsign) Repeat last message, Send more slowly | Barely readable, occasional words distinguishable | end transmission (callsign) QSM, QRS | 23 | over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Return Message (callsign) or (name) I heard you, yes I Acknowledge receipt | (transmit sentence) | end transmission (callsign)/(name) QSN, roger QSL | (transmit sentence) | over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Break in on conversation (callsign) | You are being called by 26HS8638 | Location (my location) | end transmission (callsign) | QRZ 26HS8638 Name is Lee | ISO2 is GB, QTH is Durham, Grid is IO94FV | over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ End Conversation (callsign) Acknowledge | may God cause you to succeed, Best Regards | (my callsign) stop sending | No more - the end | end transmission (callsign) 10-4 | Godspeed 73 | 26HS8638 QRT | 30 | over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ############################################################# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If there is any professional Radio operators that happen to pop by and read this post it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know if the template I have so far is any good and if not could you point me in the direction of professional HAM user guide for new users. I look forward to making contacts in the future and will wish you a good day OC and Godspeed 73 for now. Kind Regards Lee Cerca Trova |
