3.x and 4.x on Ubuntu Linux 14.10 - Audio "Skipping"

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this post.
I have both current revs of HamSphere setup on my machine (3.x and 4.x) and am able to run each - but with a serious issue that makes it unusable. I get a frequent audio issue where the received audio "skipps", that is, the audio pulses in and out at around 30Hz with 50% duty cycle (imagine a square wave chopper squelching the audio 30 times per second for 50% of the cycle). This goes away for anywhere from 1 second to 10 minutes at a time if I change servers or change some settings on the virtual rig (compression for example - basically anything that requires a server reconnect). I've got a fairly robust connection to the inter-webs if that matters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Be well, 2HS2832 |
