NEWS!

In HamSphere 4.0 there will be a CW keyer plugin that will enable you to use real CW carrier wave keying via paddle or hand pump.

Kelly,

I can hardly wait for the new CW and propagation issues in HS 4.0. I look forward to the challenge of a difficult QSO in CW.
Nothing like a correctly orientated virtual dipole. hi hi

Well done.

I see that Keyer is now offered but not sure if it is necessary to also buy the interface adapter to make it work?(cw from keyboard)
or straight key or paddles)

Has anyone tried this combo who could inform us so we would feel comfortable spending a lot of money for it?

A decoder would be nice but I agree most of them are a pain to tune.

Hi,
I am trying out the program but have had no luck with sending cw. In HamSphere 3 it won't let me use the chat feature. Nothing better with the 4 version. I hit enter, or ptty or vox. Nothing but silence. Does this thing have a side tone provision? Do I have to get a plug in from the shop?
Something must be working as I am getting calls, but no body hears me.

Yo estoy probando multipsk. Transmito pero nadie responde. He transmitido también en psk31 y tampoco he tenido éxito.
Para que la transmisión pueda salir al aire hay que activar el botón de vox.
Gracias

I think this up to be barrels of fun. CW can be challenging on any situation! Don't forget that dipole is only 12 feet off the ground, your final is blown you're using an old receiver that makes you sound really chirpy but there's nothing wrong with your Johnson Ranger, it's the unregulated voltage getting to the local oscillator! In your Hammarlund because you didn't replace the VR tube, you called CQ on 21.528 73 kc out of the 15 meter band altogether and You're at.the Club station with your Elmer mildly chewing you out because you used 40 meter novice nanx crystals to operate on 15 meters but you're tripling.from 7155 to 21465! Not heterodyming from 7150 to 21150! You forgot to flip the HV on the final so you're only driving it with 2 watts. Maybe half is coupling through to the antenna 12 feet up! Your NVIS buddy 100 miles north and.over 5he 6000 feet hill in Bakersfield got every word Q-5 and S-7! CW IS amazing! And once you really get good it's actually relaxing!

Now December 2017. I have the keyer but have no idea where to go from here. Hitting the left and right arrows does make cw sounds but no way to send. How does attach a real paddle to this, or at least be able to use the keyboard letters to send a message.

Hi everyone,

I've hooked up my straight key to HamSphere with a tiny bit of risk-free soldering. I've described everything in a page on my HamSphere blog, here: http://yo6ooz.hamsphere.net/using-straight-key-hamsphere

Here's a video of the key in action: https://youtu.be/4gZMzGxWcYo

I don't own a paddle yet, but it's just as easy to hook one to HamSphere.

Let me know if I can help in any way!

Desculpe pela minha ignorância.
Se estou certo, vejo uma programação a instruir funções para um PC.
Ficaria muito grato se me respondesse.
Um possível plug-in condensaria as instruções referidas ?
Se é isto vou começar a festejar a possível chegada de um novo plug-in para destrav,ar o CW do HamSphere.
