Hamsphere working well on Windows 7 system

| Hi, my name is Dave, WB2KSP. I wanted to let the developers know that both the current and previous version of Hamsphere work perfectly on my 64 bit Windows 7 machine. My computer runs a Intel I7 processor and 6 gig of Ram. I wish there was a way for me to connect my keyer to the mic jack and send CW that way. My keying ability is much better than my typing skills. :) | |

Hello Dave,
I am using a similar setup to you but I am using Windows 7 x64 with I5 and 6 Gb Ram. HS runs very well on this system. I also have a key connected via the serial port to send CW. If you don't have a serial port then you can buy a high speed serial port card to insert into a spare slot. You can then either connect your key directly to the serial port using an old serial mouse (cut off mouse and just use the cable) or you can buy a usb to serial port adapter. Once you have the key connected, you need to use a keying program to get the signal into HS. There are quite a few free programs around. ie EHOCW at www.f8eho.net, CWCOMM at www.mrx.com.au or Dahdidah at http://qsonet.com/qbb/viewforum.php?f=10 I think they all have instructions on how to get the key to work thru the serial port. Hi
I used to run HS on windows xp and it worked grat but that computer died suddenly and I had to get a new one that came equiped with Windows 7 was a bit worried that HS would not run as well on that system but I was worrying needlessly as it runs a treat on it great job again Kelly .
