How to turn off limits of propagation on all bands ?

Hello, Fellows,

We have thousands of hamsphere users, but I can´t hear them, only a few ones here and there. I think that at this time of this software, it would be interesting that we could turn off ALL limitations on the supposed propagation in order that we could talk to all people on the Hamsphere world. It is very sad that I know there´s dozens of people online right now and I can´t hear them, or some are so low that we can´t hear. How can I turn off this propagation simulation and talk with all people ? or at least if we have a single band, like 11 meters that we could turn all propagation/servers limitations and talk with all guys, this software would be amazing. I know some think about turning the thing more "realistic", but since we don´t have millions of people here yet, that would be a nice idea. BTW, I subscribed to Hamsphere and installed hamsphere 4....oh boy, there´s so few people, that sometimes it looks like a desert. hamsphere 4 should be capable of listening to broadcasts of hamsphere 3 also. How can I do that ?

Well, that´s all for now. All the best,

How do you do that in the real (HF) World? ;-) Exactly!
At the moment (yesterday) the propagation is a little bit weak and low at all bands, but the version 4.0.x is very new and not so many users are there yet.
But I'm sure, it's getting more and more by the time. Turn around the bands and watch the bandscope, most of the time you will see activity there.

For that what you want it is much better to use HamSphere 3.0, because (more like Skype) there it is possible to turn of the simulation/filters on some bands and you can make contacts with the WHOLE world on ALL bands at ANY TIME. Not depending on a propagation.
I guess that's what you want. But that's not real like on real HF-Radios.

I somewhat agree with this. The way I would suggest is to keep at least a couple of the HS-3 bands and incorporate them into the new HS-4.
For example, 160, 11 and definitely 48 BC band, which I hope will fill up and need to be expanded.
100 kc's isn't much. But yes it's nice to be able to hear a UK or Asian station and be able to have a nice chat without worrying about losing the contact due to crappy conditions. I DO think it's kind of redundant to have so many bands on the HS-3 version since they all propagate about the same.

But wouldn't it against the intention of HS 4?

Last night the propagation was bad again on my side, but i had contacts with some US-Stations (from my German QTH), 1 Asia (respectively middle-east), Canary Islands and some in Europe as well.
No problem all the time to make QSOs. Ok, sometimes it is possible only on 11 meters, or 60 meters and next time on 20 meters. But it IS possible and also with the IDC antenna.

Another way would be to use the 2 meters and 70 centimeters repeaters to make long distance contacts on HS 4.
Of course that is not depending on any propagation. But a good alternative on "bad-propagation-days", like in the real world.
