Hello Hamspherians,
The "Features" tab above says the transmitter is 1 to 2500 watts. Mine is 100 watts max...no amplifier is listed as a plug in. What am I missing? 73 de Steve |

That's only in HamSphere 3, because there are no plugins. That's not real, of course. No real transmitter has a 2500 W amplifier inside.
On HS 4 the transmitter has only 100 Watts maximum, like in the real world. Later on you should can buy some amplifiers from the shop. And on HS 4 it is possible to work (for example on 40 meters) with only 5 watts under good propagations, which is also realistic. Normally you don't need 2.500 watts with good antennas, I make a QSO between Germany and USA/Canada with only 100 watts! Not most of the time, but very often. For example on 20 or 15 meters, which are very good DX-bands. In HS 3 it is not "real", because this program is a little bit more like Skype and so on. 73 and good DX from Jörg :-) JO31ok Bochum / Germany |
