Hello to all,

sorry, i can't write in the other boards (don't know why), so i post it here:
Does anybody know how to deny the emails after receiving a QSL-Card? I constantly have to delete this message-emails. :)
Anyway i look up at new QSL-Cards an i also see it directly in the Software and logbook, so i don't need any mails about that.

Is there any option? I haven't find one. And i don't wanna block mails from hamsphere as SPAM.
Thanks for reply my question. :)

Ok guys, 382 hits, any weeks agone - but not ONE answer - i think there is no way to do that. :-)) (or my English is too bad, also possible)
I also can't find any option to stop this mails. Maybe it could be a new feature for the future and the roadmap for this board. ;-)

Nevertheless thanks for reading this thread.

Jörg, as an alternative, you could create a "rule" in your email program that would automatically discard such emails as they arrive. In that case, you would never notice them. The major online email services (Gmail, as one example) include an ability to create such a "rule." Hopefully this will be of some assistance.

Hi Randy,

thank you for your answer. :)
Yes, that was also my first intention and also Vic (VE3JAR) had yesterday this idea (thanks again for that, Vic).
But it makes no sense for me, because i'm using the Opera-Browser with the integrated Email-Client. This system is not folder-based like "MS-Outlook" and so on, but filter/label-based. So you can't delete any mails automatically from the server, you only would make them "unvisible" for you.

So i was looking for a possibility to stop it directly on this system here, but it's impossible. The database (and her software) is too "simple" to separate between "good system-mails" and the "qsl-card mails". You EITHER can stop ALL mails from the system (also support mails, PM-mails, admin-mails and so on), OR you let pass all mails to the SMTP-Server.

So the (my) solution is now:
Just create a filter-rule directly on the mail-server (i've done last night), maybe as "SPAM" oder a special folder named "HamSphere QSL" or whatever ... and don't get this folder via POP3/IMAP.
Set this rule e.g. on "delete after 3 days" or "move to trash" or whatever you like to do. Alternative to this rule you can let direct move into the trash-folder. That's it. ;) So you don't bother about it. Enjoy!
